Farmers Insurance logo update

I kept the shield idea but made the shape out of the lettering for the company. I felt the shield made the company seem protective and kept it at the original color of the logo. The triangle above farmers is there to make it look like the original shield more but also is supposed to look like a home to show that farmers protects your home. I put the circle around it to mean that it insures/protects your entire life. Then i wraped their motto symbol of superior service around the logo.

Halloween poster

I learned from this tutorial how to make opacity masks, and more about creating vectors from pictures off the internet. I also learned more about using gradients to create effect.

Splat

For this tutorial i used the 3D extrude and bevel for the letters, and the 3D rotate tool for the orange and red splat on the ground. Then used the map art toor to place orange and red splat on the lettering.

expressions project

I chose the color yellow because it not only symbolizes positivity, it also symbolizes thought and creativity. i put a box around sleep and lazy to show how these are constant attributes of me. the octogon symbols are supposed to symbolize thoughts throughout life. the left side is shaped like an E to reflect myself some.

Snowboard

I thought the hardest technique used was making the gradient. It took a while to get it looking decent and i couldnt make it look like a circular shape.

Lillypad

I thought this project was alright, it looks kinda cool and was not too hard to do. The flowers took the most time but they turned out decent so im fine with it.

Personal Quote

I chose the quote because i thought it was a moderately funny quote. I chose to make the shape of a triangle because it makes it seem less fun and happy. I chose to make a 1 just to add a different shape to the quote. I chose the color red because i see the quote as not being angry or mad, but a harshish tone that isnt completely serious.

Angry bird refrences

Angry Birds glyph monster

I think my glyph monster turned out alright. Its the yellow angry bird with the slingshot on the bottom left. At first I was trying to do the angry bird by outlining it with L's and J's which looked bad so I deleted those and added more glyphs instead.

Typography

I chose red because red symbolizes passion, and music and fiction are both art forms with passion in them.

The building is made up of geometric shapes and a part that is sort of an organic shape. Each item has color to it to make it kind of look like something.
